WARDLE ACHIEVES H&S STANDARD

OHSAS 18001 Certification awarded by Bureau Veritas Certification.

D Wardle (Plant) Ltd's commitment to health and safety has been officially recognised. The company now meets the requirements of Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems OHSAS 18001.

This international standard prescribes systems to manage the health and safety aspects of an organisation’s activities more effectively, controlling operational risks and improving overall performance. Achieving the health and safety standard recognises our dedication to the welfare of our employees and customers and to providing a safe working environment.

Speaking about the certification, Scott Wardle, Managing Director, said "I am delighted to report that we have now achieved this standard. We have been working hard to develop all areas of our management systems and Health and Safety in particular. I cannot speak highly enough of the effort and dedication of our staff to get to this point. We already operate to the Quality Standard ISO9001 and the Environmental standard ISO14001. OHSAS 18001 completes the set and gives us a great platform from which to take the business forward".
