D Wardle (Plant) are certified to OHSAS 18001 (Health and Safety Management Systems). This international standard prescribes systems to manage the health and safety aspects of an organisation’s activities more effectively, controlling operational risks and improving overall performance. Achieving this health and safety standard recognises our dedication to the welfare of our employees and customers, and to providing a safe working environment. 
In 2005, 2006 and again in 2007 we achieved the RoSPA Gold Award for Occupational Safety awarded to excellence in Health and Safety over a period of four years.

The RoSPA awards are not just about reducing the number of accidents and cases of ill health at work; they are also about ensuring that organisations have good health and safety management systems in place.
