ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

At D Wardle (Plant) we recognise that what we do impacts on the local and global environment. We operate a management system certified to ISO14001, the foremost international standard in environmental management. This demonstrates that we have a method of ensuring comprehensive management of the environmental impacts of our organisation. The scope of our Environmental Management System (EMS) covers the complete range of our activities - this is ambitious, and reflects the aims of the directors.

ISO 14001:2004 obliges those who achieve accreditation to publish an Environmental Policy that commits the organisation to avoiding pollution, complying with all environmental legal and other requirements as well as committing itself to a programme of objectives and targets to achieve continual improvement.
